I’ve noticed lots folks in business and entrepreneurship circles that invoking game theoretical principles like zero-sum games, Nash equilibrium, etc in conversations about strategy. I’m always out of my depth in these conversations and I’d like to learn to think and act more strategically.

    1. I’m not trying to be a shit and tell you that your best bet is to get on you tube and start with taking notes on some essays, because it’s an oddly complicated! Please don’t see this as condescension. It’s meant as a good way to start to explore some of tbe nuances of this concept! Good luck to you!

    2. *Games of Strategy* by Dixit is often recommended. I found it a bit basic, but maybe that’s because I had some previous exposure (I already understood dominant strategies, Nash equilibrium, etc.). There are a couple of more applied books relevant to business by the same author, but I haven’t looked at them (*The Art of Strategy: A Game Theorist’s Guide to Success in Business and Life* seems the most popular).

In general, any introductory textbook on game theory and business is likely to be readable. Just searching “game theory” on a public library website will give you a few candidates (even if you don’t use the library, you know the books have been curated by a librarian): [https://library-brisbane.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/eLibCat/search/results?qu=game+theory&te=](https://library-brisbane.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/eLibCat/search/results?qu=game+theory&te=) .
