Hi I was blow away by how good the Guns of August (tuchman) was. That book taught me more about WW1 then any class or other book. It was so well written and succinct.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a similar type book on
War of 1812
Korean war
French and Indian war
Your help is appreciated.

The War of 1812: A Forgotten Conflict by Donald R. Hickey A standard on the topic
Fred Anderson’s *Crucible of War.*
Walter Borneman wrote some great books about the War of 1812 and the French and Indian War.
Also, if you need a good general history of Word War One, I highly recommend G.J. Meyer’s books *A World Undone* and *The World Remade*. These are some of my favorite history books ever, really well-written.
*The War of 1812: A Forgotten Conflict* by Donald R. Hickey and *Crucible of War* by Fred Anderson have been previously identified and recommended.
That leaves only *In Mortal Combat: Korea 1950–1953* by John Toland to recommend.
