Ranulph Fiennes is a Baritish badass (World's greatest living explorer, OBE, summitd everest at 65, conducted the first and only transpolar circumnavigation of the earth, SAS soldier, etc.)

The man is a legend. I only came to know of him recently through a video on the Youtube channel Ladbibles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iLNTzNFOuY)

I picked up the book right after I finished the video.

He writes in a chronological manner from childhood to present day. But it seems like a rushed affair. Each journey to the poles, Everest, the Sahara deserved a separate book unto itself (which I believe he may have written, but I'll have to check).

The book ends rarther abruptly after long pages of tribulations recounted with brevity. Doesn't leave you wanting more. But leaves you feeling a bit peeved that you didn't know it would end on such a curt note.
