Murder mystery where someone is Impersonating the big detective for reasons and now has to solve a real murder?

I kinda curious if there a book like this, like, someone is impersonating the "sherlock holmes" expy of their universe for some reasons and then an murder happen and they can't break out of character and now have to bullshit their way into pretending they are solving the case, but then actually solve it
