It's 6:23 PM, and I have five and a half hours left to go on mostly interstate. It is dreary outside and I have been away from my wife all weekend attending a friend from high school's wedding. The road unsettles me — brings up feelings and emotions, worry and stress. I have just completed my re-read — or rather, listen, of 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Absolutely brilliant book that has just made me miss my wife so much more. I certainly have an emotional hangover, from missing my wife, from parting with my friends, from the book, and I have so much more road to go. Still, the book was so, so lovely.
What should I start next?
(Other books I enjoy include Space and Cheapeake, both by James Michener. Also really enjoyed Alas, Babylon)
