Hey everyone, I'm looking for a book with a dead rabbit on the cover. It's a novel and was classified as fiction in Waterstones. The title featured the word carcass or cadaver or carrion or a similar synonym.
The last name of the author most likely starts with a letter that comes before M in the alphabet judging by its place in the store. If I remember the correctly, the blurb described it as a story of grief in which the spirit of a deceased person seems to linger on in a house in some form or another (might be supernatural, might just as well not be – it wasn't specified). There was also talk about some kind of dirt patch behind the house.
It is not: Cursed Bunny, Hell Bent, Bunny, What Moves the Dead
I've been searching all day and you guys are my last hope. Thank you in advance!

Perhaps ‘What Moves the Dead’ by T. Kingfisher? A retelling of Poe’s House of Usher. Even if this isn’t it, the Kingfisher book sounds amazing.
