Hey all! Looking for a super niche today. books about alternate reality games (ARGs) – games that span a combination of the real world and the internet using a series of seemingly unrelated puzzles and clues and bonus if they play off the concept that it’s a secret game the rest of the world is unaware of.
Many years ago I read the Game trilogy by Anders De La Motte and fell in love with the storytelling possibilities of this type of concept (doesnt hurt that i DEEP DOVE ARGs when i was in HS). Then my sister got me watching the movie Nerve a few years after that.
Now my fiancee recently got me Rabbits, and I’m blasting through the pages like nobody’s business. She told me Hank Green’s series starting with an absolutely remarkable thing should absolutely be next on the list, but if there are any other books in this vein I’m VERY interested.
