I've devoured the audiobooks of both Alex Verus and Rivers of London and LOVED them both. I have aphantasia and really loved reading stories that were set in London as that's where I live and it meant I could follow the story much more easily. I also really love the first-person narrative style, I find that much easier to follow than anything else.
I'm halfway through the last Verus book and getting that dread of it ending, so am trying to line up something to start straight after. I'm alone, so the audiobooks have been a real lifeline as I don't have much human contact so hearing a friendly voice has really helped.
For something new, I'd please like the following things if possible: set in the UK (London even better but not essential), British narrator (sorry, I just don't get on with US accents for audiobooks), NO romance, magic, first-person narrative (this one is essential) and last but certainly not least, LOTS of books in the series.
Thank you in advance for your recommendations. I lost my partner at the end of last year suddenly and have found great comfort in audiobooks since then.
