I want super cheesy love stories, of couples that are somehow just perfect for each other and winning.
I would prefer if the characters were as fleshed out as they were in Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, and I particularly enjoy the “superpower” aspect/inherent twist. I would also prefer if the characters were emotionally intelligent.
I don’t mind if there’s a bit of exposition. I enjoy wordy language, especially when there’s clearly a lot of thought poured into an aspect of the story.
I don’t particularly care if it’s a “trash” read, I enjoy most things and just need more content to digest. I have read too many manhwa and I need something that I can go crazy with, with imagination.
TL;DR I’m just looking for a fun read that makes me feel like a teenager reading cute couple gossip.
I enjoyed:
– “The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” by Holly Black (in terms of cheesiness/power couple/initial rapport),
– “Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” by Victoria E. Schwab (in terms of rapport/character development/backstory).
I am not looking for anything by Sarah Dessen (I read too many of her books, so the novelty of her writing has worn off on me, unfortunately).
