I am reading this book currently and I am wondering if I have missed something or if it will be covered later. I am in Chapter 9 now.
I get that he is upset about the killing of his wife and kids but why is he killing all of the women? I could understand a disease made to kill Irish people but females only.
What am I missing?

If I remember right, it’s because he wants everyone to suffer/feel the way he does.
