I have a rant to make. You know those books where the MC is some ‘loser’ in this misfit group that finds a way to get popular via some sort of technique or device/object? Like there is always this only boy in the group that is cute in a little brother way, and the rest are girls. They’re picked on for something. And also there’s this one popular boy who she likes and this popular girl rival group that she hates. So she finds this object out of the blue that helps her and her friends get popular. But it backfires, everyone now hates her, sample text, sample text, then everything’s back to normal and she’s with the cute popular guy. The end. Although the MC isn’t really a saint as she usually sees no problem with playing around with people or even the world as she knows it for some popularity. Usually there are limits on said object but other times not, which makes me question whether the MC could take over Earth with it or not. Either way, I’d be happy if someone could suggest a book where it’s like that but from the POV of another character, like one of the friends or the popular kids or even her parents, to see their side of the story, where she isn’t as innocent as she writes herself to be. Because lest I forget, these are all from her perspective, where she can tell us whatever she wants, and if DOAWK and Gone Girl taught me anything, that means the story isn’t quite as it may seem. A series even. Anything, just as long as it’s similar to what I requested. Thanks in advance!
