Hello all!
So, I'm on a nonfiction/memoir kick. Usually, I'd just pick my own book, but I'm nit 100% sure how to Google this specific type of memoir, and googling "books like If At Birth You Don't Succeed" only led to a bunch of reviews of the book.
Basically, I'm looking for "uplifting disability memoirs". I myself am disabled, partnered to a disabled person. I'm going through a rough time in life, and just need to read things that remind me that while being disabled brings certain challenges to the table, we (disabled people) can still live happy, fulfilled lives. I particularly loved that "If At Birth You Don't Succeed" had me laughing.
I have a particular interest in PTSD(my disability) and Cerebral Palsy(my partners disability). But any memoir talking about navigating life with a disability/disabilities and how things will end up okay are very much welcomed from me right now.

Not necessarily for all disability but since you mentioned PTSD I’ll throw “The Body Keeps the Score” out there. It explains how trauma causes actual physical issues in the body and what to do about it.
