I have been returning to reading after a brief while and need your help. I am somebody who grew up reading Agatha Christie and James Hadley Chase novels, I need similar sorts of books which are fast-paced, eventful and have twists, and good setup-payoff plots. I would like to get suggestions of novels that aren't too lengthy as I need something crisp to start.
