I’m finishing up my first audiobook, “I’m Glad My Mom Died” by Jennette McCurdy, and I would appreciate some new suggestions. I normally struggle to finish audiobooks but I think I liked this one because the author herself reads it. It felt super easy to follow and kept my attention. Thanks in advance 🙂

Britney Spear’s new book? It just came out a few days ago. Not voiced by her so not sure how it is. But I’m reading the physical copy right now and it’s good in my opinion and *kind of* similar to Jennette in terms of child star and exploitation.
I I highly recommends The Music Lesson by Victor Wooten. It’s read by the author, mostly, but also by a cast of voice actors voicing various characters. Also if heavily features incidental music by Victor Wooten and The Flectones.
Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline, read by Wil Wheaton (*Stand By Me*, *Star Trek: The Next Generation*). Mr. Wheaton is actually referenced in the story, which is a nice metatextual touch. Very different from the movie, and far superior, IMHO. [https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9969571-ready-player-one](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9969571-ready-player-one)
Rivers Of London series, by Ben Aaronovitch, read by Kobna Holdbrook-Smith. A rookie constable, having just completed his probationary period, is assigned to the unit of the London Metropolitan Police that deals with “weird bollocks”. Urban fantasy in genre, but reads like a police procedural. Lots of pop cultural references and nerd jokes. Also a fair amount of insight into British class and racial tensions, which I was unfamiliar with as an American. Nine books, 3-4 novellas, and one short story compendium published so far.
