I haven't read the series and I was really excited but I looked up spoilers to make sure I'm not spending too much time on something that will furiously upset me later (I forget plots pretty fast so I don't mind spoilers). And holy f***, I don't know wth Veronica Roth was thinking but the ending was a massive letdown and now I'm heartbroken. I need a book of similar genre/plot or some good YA series but with a good ending to help me forget this terrible finding 🥲 TIA

maybe Fifth Season by NK Jemisin? it’s a sci-fi-fan world where ppl are split into different castes based on their abilities. the protagonist is an “orogene,” and can control energy. this is terrible actually bc now society wants her dead.
