Hello! I’m a mama to a 5 month old and I’ve been reading him Harry Potter while we nurse and I was thinking that something with more rhyming/rhythm would also be good. I’m open to anything that isn’t scary (for my sake less his). I’d prefer something that’s not necessarily a kiddo book. A collection of poems or something? We love nature so that would be a bonus! I’m usually a fantasy or historical fiction reader so this is way outside my usual.
We do read board books and the like where he can see the pictures and hold the pages. This is more for the (hours) I spend nursing him and he’s contact napping. I feel like hearing as much of the English language as possible might be good for him as he gets bigger. But even if it’s not doing anything amazing I enjoy it.
