I think it's something that started happening recently, books like- The Awakening, The Catcher in The Rye, and Paradise Rot left me feeling nauseous (and paranoid?) for days.
It's not as if these are my first reads with darker themes, The Catcher in The Rye was in fact a third re-read, but it still left me mentally drained and physically unwell.
Does this happen with anyone else too? Is it a phase thingy?
