Looking for nonfiction books that deal with helping an adult child deal with childhood trauma and forgiveness. I’m looking for a book for myself not my child. I was not the best mother but did what I could with my own trauma haunting me that scarred my adult son who is suddenly dealing with the past and not speaking to me.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this but know that you’re not alone! I’m kind of going through the same thing. My therapist reminds me that we were in survival mode at the time and we were young. Our brains weren’t even fully formed until 27 years old. We loved our kids, but we were dealing with our own trauma. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I know easier said than done.
