This was my first B.A. Paris book, and I decently enjoyed it!

I was really annoyed from the beginning at how fast Grace intertwined her life with Jack even before realizing he was a psychopath. Maybe it’s because, for me personally, I’d never quite my job and put mine and my sister with down syndromes lives into the hands of a stranger I’ve married after only 6 months of knowing him.
It’s a very fast paced book, which can be a good and bad thing. I think for this specifically, being more fast paced was good. It kept me interested til the end before I got too bored.

While I understand most of the reasons why she wasn’t able to get help sooner, I couldn’t help but feeling like there were a handful of things she could of done to get out of the situation. Could she not literally get up and run out of the restaurant when she went out with Jack and his friends? Or at least wait til he uses the restroom? Or wouldn’t you think that Janice would have believed her if she asked to speak privately to staff when they were on visits? Idk….

All that being said, the ending was at least satisfying. And I did enjoy how clever Esther was with the room color thing. It felt like it came to a very abrupt stop, but that seemed necessary for this story.

How did everyone else like this book? And are there other B.A Paris books worth reading??
