Hi!
My 70 year old dad isn't much of a reader, but he's been stuck in hospital for months with a challenging injury and is needing to learn to walk again. I'm wanting to find a book that's easy to read, maybe with short anecdotal non-fiction stories about people who've conquered a crappy situation. Bonus points if it's humorous or has pictures. Could even be an auto/biography (Australian context preferable, but open to other suggestions). He won't be anything that's religious or self-help style (unless it's done in a funny way).
Other suggestions could be for funny picture books about getting old or being stuck in hospital. We have a dark sense of humour in our family, so something like that would go ok.
