I really want to read sci-fi but so far I haven’t found anything that hit the spot. I’m specifically interested in feel-good stories featuring space exploration or colonisation. I’m not interested in dark stories focusing on alien invasion, war, or anything dystopian. I’ve read the red Mars trilogy, Dune, 3 body problem, planetfall, the Enceladus mission, as well as watching 3 seasons of the expanse, and they were all too heavy and dark for me but I loved the sci-fi aspect of them. I also read the long way to a small angry planet which was by far the closest but the concept of inter-species relationships and sex was just really gross to me.
I used to also really like futurama when I was younger, I just wished there was more science and positive things.
