What are some good books on the subject of manipulation and not believing everything your told?

I've always been easy manipulated as a kid and to be quite fair it runs in the family to believe everyone. I want to change this up and actually start trying to understand the behavior of the manipulator and to get a grasp of where their coming from while in at the same time learning how to kind of analyze this behavior early on and shut it out before it even happens.

What kind of books would you guys recommend?
