I just finished the series this weekend and I'm feeling so emotional. I wish I could go back and read it again but I know it'll never be the same as the first time. It's time for a new series.
My favorite part about the series, which included Wolfsong, Ravensong, Heartsong, and Brothersong, was the positive representation of LGBTQIA+ characters. I had never experienced that before and it made me feel like I could truly be one of the characters for the first time in my life.
As an adult reader, it was also so enjoyable reading about characters that are around my age. Even when the characters were initially young, they were born the same year I was so so it was relatable until they grew older.
So that brings me to where we are now. I'm looking for my next read. I love the lore of werewolves but I'm open to other fantasy novels.
Another series I enjoyed was Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. She is a great writer but I would REALLY love another series that has a gay protagonist.
