I read LOOKING GLASS SOUND last year when it came out and it was, for me, the perfect summer horror for the first ~2/3 or so of the book (i.e., when we're following the internal narrative). I'm looking for something with similar vibes – I liked the seaside setting, the slow creeping horror and all the atmosphere, the coming-of-age narrative. I'd take anything with some, but not all, of those elements; the atmosphere, creeping dread, and summery seasonality is sort of the most important part. (Bonus points if it's queer!)
