The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett! Slightly similar to Anne of Green Gables as it’s also a classic children’s novel, but it’s a little more melancholy. But it’s just as heartwarming and life-affirming, and the writing is beautiful. A slow-paced story about neglected children blossoming. 🌸

This is Happiness by Niall Williams. The audiobook read by Dermot Crowley is fantastic as well.
