Getting back into reading (or trying to at least) and I need some recommendations of books or indie comics on the more unsettling and subtly creepy side. If Adventure Time was a book. The best I could describe the vibe is: pastel goth and cute horror/gore . If my description is terrible or my demands are too tall I apologize haha. Thanks reddit!

If you like short stories at all, both Karen Heuler’s A Slice of the Dark and GennaRose Nethercott’s Fifty Beasts to Break Your Heart are wonderful, full of unsettling, surreal, and creepy fantasy.
