I have a very specific itch that needs to be scratched. I want to read a genuinely surprising, suspenseful thriller about a group of forced proximity strangers who all have a ✨secret.✨ Something like Clue the movie with Tim Curry from 1985, but without such heavy handed comedy.
I read this book called Five Total Strangers by Natalie D. Richards and the scenario was intriguing, the vibes were right, but the reveal and build up was so corny I pulled a muscle from all the eye rolling. Doesn't need to be perfect prose, I just want a good story.
