What do you suggest people read instead of ACOTAR who want a Fantasy/Romantasy series? I enjoy the concept and genre, but ACOTAR was not amazing: suggest something better for me to read! I also did not like Fourth Wing. I would prefer something where the smut was not a central part of the plot or not in it at all.

I really like Juliet Marillier but rarely see many of her books in bookstores. The romance is usually more of a subplot but it’s definitely still there, and the prose and worldbuilding is SO much better than a lot of the viral tiktok books.
Idk I’ve seen people say books like Fourth Wing are for people who never had their fanfiction or wattpad phase back when people usually do and I think that makes sense.
