I'd say any readong speed is ok as long as it isn't painfully slow paced for the reader or too fast to grasp anythong.

I like to absorb the writing and process it visually (like I am creating a movie out of it in my mind) and my readong speed is close to 50% of the average reading speed on Kindle. I do read faster with less visualization when there is only dialogue. (No point imagining people standing and talking without scene changes)

Is there any way to dpeed it up? Maybe forgoing the visualization and lettong myself forget smaller details?

I think mine is a worthy sacrifice of reading speed though.

For example I read around 25 pages of an Expanse book per hour, and I found them lighter than let's say Dostoevsky-like literature of which I read maybe 15-20 pages per hour.

When at max focus I can even read 30+ bit my attention does waver between spacing out and having to reread a page, fetting distracred or not being in the mood.
