I get a kick out of finding something in a book and having it come into my reality, whether in the abstract, or tangible. For example, I read anthony Bourdains book a while ago and finally bought the "cheap" knife he recommended… let's just say I'm obsessed (I opted out of using a processor so I could hand cut everything during meal prep this week). On a more abstract note, my gf is deep diving some food books and describing these differences in metabolizing things like fructose vs glucose and other little tid bits.

What have you taken from your reading experience, that has given immense satisfaction or just practical usefulness? Also if possible list the book that gave said revalation:

Anthony bourdains, kitchen confidential and the gf just finished "the hacking of the american mind" by Robert lustig.
