i have been desperately combing the internet, the shelves of my local library, and spending far too much time (and, therefore, money) at my local barnes and noble for months now to no avail.
i am looking for an oddly specific theme/plot/vibe/whatever. i need a book like in five years by rebecca serle, about time (the movie with rachel mcadams in it), and about time (the netflix movie about the unplanned pregnancy). i have recently discovered my love for this specific flavor of magical realism, and even just finding magical realism romance that isn't just mislabeled straight fantasy has been a struggle.
romance is not a must, but preferred, even if just as a backburner plot to the main plotline.

I’m sure you must have come across The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger already, but commenting just in case!
How to Stop Time by Matt Haig. It’s not about time travel, but it’s about a man who ages extremely slowly. He is about 500 years old, but looks about 40. It gave me the same sort of feelings as some of the books/shows you listed.
