I read a book as a kid told from two different POVs. It was two best friends and one ended up with a serious illness (I think leukemia but not 100% sure) I feel like friendship bracelets were involved in the title or book but I could be mixing up books. I don’t know if it helps but I had gotten from my churches(Quaker/Friends) library as a kid
