I find myself in the most delicious of dilemmas today. My book bestie told me she’s buying me a book for my birthday, whatever book I want. I’m paralyzed by all the choices.
What would you choose if you were in my shoes? Bonus points if you describe why.
Some of my favorite authors include Kristin Hannah, RF Khuang, SJM, Anthony Doerr, Jane Austen, I could go on. I love fiction and am recently obsessed with fantasy. I adore a good fat book, too. 997 pages? Bring it on. Tia!!

Jane Eyre but she’s a witch! I loved this book, and I’ve never read an Austin book, so I can only imagine it must be even better if you “get it”.
*Shades of Milk and Honey* by Mary Robinette Kowal is basically Pride and Prejudice with magic if you want to combine Jane Austen with Fantasy. And there are scores of other books that do that as well.
