As far as I know, Tolkien ideology for writing a book was that the story has to be "pure" and not be full of allegories and metaphors. That ia the reason why he disliked The Chronicles of Narnia, even though he and C.S. Lewis were very close friends. Tolkien only used things as his christian faith or his experience in war as inspiration, but he didn't want Lord of the Rings to be about them or a metaphor for them. He wanted his story to be "pure", as I said, without allegories.

Do you know any authors who have a similar ideology on writing? Because I find Tolkien's philosophy very interesting (even though I have nothing against allegories, as long as they're done in an interesting way), and if you could recommend a book of some of these authors, I would be really thankful.
