    I'll describe what i mean.

In the film Big Hero 6 the main characters all have diverse personalities that are simultaneously believable and grounded.

Because of that their friendship never feels cheesy, but warm and true. Despite their differences they're always there for each other. Gestures such as group hugs or crossing hands together are always gratifying and feel genuine.

The character of Honey Lemon especially exemplifies this. She's unique in being so friendly, kind, open, empathetic, caring, sweet, tactile even yet not obnoxious, not cringeworthy-saccharine and not overly perfect.

Do you know any books with a strong friendship of diverse realistic individuals, preferably but not necessarily together with a supportive and motherly figure?
