I LOVE Jordan Peele’s horror movies and I normally hate horror. When I was reading the summary on the jacket of this book I was skeptical when it said it was for people who like Jordan Peele. In my opinion, nothing compares to his films. But this anthology absolutely scratched my itch for more of his content. With the exception of the first story Lights, every single story kept me on the edge of my seat.
It’s hard to pick a favorite but if I had to The Landscape of Broken Things would be first followed by Mother, Daughter, and The Devil. The Landscape of Broken Things is a dystopian horror story where clairvoyants are widely feared and are being kept and drugged in mental hospitals. Mother, Daughter, and The Devil is a small town horror story that revolves around the idea of generational curses.
I highly recommend this book to people who enjoys Jordan Peele films!
