I need a book for a parent to help understand their own child's trauma. The parent is not the cause of the trauma, and the child is now in their 30s and their relationship is gradually breaking down.
The parent is in their 60s and does want to understand but doesn't know why they are being treated harshly by their child, who has all this unresolved trauma that bubbles up in hurtful ways.
I have tried searching for trauma related books but I'm not sure which ones would be helpful for a family member to read. Any suggestions?
