Have some interest in history, but also anything fiction that borders on less overt self-help that you can find useful for starting over, aka starting truly for the first time in your 30s. Thanks!
Liked so far: Irving Yalom's fiction books. Curious Incident of Dog in the Night Time. Narcissus and Gouldmand.
PS: If you're thinking of suggesting "Midnight Library", put down the keyboard and step away from your pc/phone, that is the most simplistic garbage of a novel that you can imagine. It's bad enough that it's ever so slighlty disguised self-help, it is actually revealed as unapologetic trite self-help towards the end with affirmation. You may as well just watch Oprah if you want that quality of advice.

*Siddhartha* by Herman Hesse. It is a fiction novel, which follows Siddhartha from life to death. It has parts which would definitely apply to the criteria of ‘starting over in your 30s’. Hope this helps!
The Daughter of Time, by Josephine Tey. Historical fiction, not much self-help, apart from “pay attention to the source for your history lessons”
