I gave the star wars movies another chance. When I was a kid I just thought they were pew pew in space. My brother and his mates were star-wars obsessed and I just rolled my eyes whenever it was on during sleepovers (I was primary school age when the new episodes came out so didn't really have a sci fi bone in my body yet). Now I'm older, I've decided to give them another go. I like sometimes re-treading things I saw and read as a child just to see how my life experience has morphed my opinions of it. Started from the beginning and saw the story in a completely different light. Now I am hooked on the story, especially the Anakin to Darth to Anakin progression.
Are there any books that are a great addition to it?

I’ve started a couple Star Wars books that I didn’t finish, but still on my list to read are the original *Thrawn* trilogy by Timothy Zahn and the *Darth Bane* trilogy by Drew Karpyshyn. Those seem to be the general consensus on the best SW books.
