Hello! I need I new book/series to read and am looking for something that will really get me connected and into the characters. I prefer fantasy and sci-fi but also like historical fiction. Books I have enjoyed recently were The Song of Achilles and the Stormlight archive. Thanks!

Have you read Red Rising? the main character is probably one of my favorite Fantasy Anti Heroes ever.
Hmm, I just started Malazan and I’m on book 3, Memories of Ice. Since your a character driven reader, I’m not sure you’ll like it but it is epic fantasy and book 2 did disturb me emotionally.
Chaos Walking Trilogy is good YA, that hit me in the feels as well.
An Ember In The Ashes series by Sabaa Tahir has lots of feels.
Sarah J Maas ACOTAR series, whilst not the best written in the world, has a lot of emotions going on too (although also sex scenes, just in case that’s not your thing)
