Hi, I bought a house with a bedroom/library in it. It is 14×14 and two of the walls are completely covered, floor to 10’ ceiling, in books.

I’m going to keep some of them but most of them have to go. I don’t wanna just throw them away. But I can’t imagine anyone making money selling them.

Does anyone know of a place I can donate them to? Is there any alternative to the dump?

    1. Libraries, charities, book crossing, reading initiatives in the community, ONGs… I don’t know in which country you live, but in Italy many public and private institutions tend to accept such donations with open arms.

    2. Goodwill and other thrift stores, little free libraries, sometimes the actual library if they are somewhat current. You could try listing some on pango books if you think they’d actually go for anything. If they are really old, may as well list on Craigslist for people who could use them for crafts or home decor.
