There were occasional kisses or sexual tension in some of the fantasy or mystery books I’ve read, but I would really like to read a book where romance is the focus.
I‘m a guy, but I‘m perfectly fine with female POV.
I don‘t really care whether it‘s enemies to lovers, friends to lovers or whichever other tropes you like, but I would prefer the romance to be male x female in order for it to reflect my own straight sexuality.

You could always go with the a court of thrones and roses series lol. It was pretty good, not too difficult to read (except some long drawn out unnecessary stuff in book 3 & 4) and a great romance story imo. It’s fantasy too. And rlly popular at the moment
Emily Henry books have some great stories and are romance forward. I loved Book Lovers.
Romance.io is a great site to look through books. You can filter by all kinds of plots/settings/steam etc so you can find soemthing that will work for you.
The JD Robb series is an easy in to the genre. It’s a series that follows a NYC murder detective in the future but also has the romance plot in twined.
