A longer book or series, like the John Scalzi short “Slow Time Between the Stars” but NOT bobiverse

I have read the bobiverse books and they are not for me. I don’t like the writing style and they are too goofy and they lost me at naming things after Star Trek and otters. Too much trying to be funny and meta – otherwise would have been reasonable. I am looking specifically for a hard science fiction space exploration book or series from the perspective of AI from earth. Even an extension of Slow Time Between the Stars” would work.
