Happy Sunday,
I'm interested in reading books that help me learn, but that won't make me feel ashamed of my current capacity level as someone with disabilities.
I recently picked up “Laziness Doesn't Exist” and “the Lazy Genius Way”, and the former discussed folks working 90 hours a week and offered work tips. The second talked about “you give so much of your energy away, you have none for yourself.” Neither scenario resonate with me, and actually made me feel a little bad.
Any recommendations? I’m not looking for books about disability (this time), but instead books that I can learn new things from, that are conscious of folks with low capacity and won’t make assumptions that I’m an overachiever. Some books I’ve enjoyed: “What Happened to You” by Oprah and “Love Warrior” by Glennon Doyle.
Thanks in advance! 💜
