Books about exploring or mapping a strange world. Piranesi, House of Leaves

I just finished Piranesi and I really like it. But I think I would like to more about a person in a weird, foreign (to the reader) place. I really like when the main character describes the goings-on and you gradually learn more about sort of a static impossible place. Things I read that sort of all into this category: Piranesi, House of Leaves, Only Forward, Borne by Jeff Vandermeer.. I love Control the video game, also, which has a similar thing.
