To preface, I’m not necessarily looking for the same premise or atmosphere as Attack on Titan.
I’m talking of the specific speech, sacrifices and battle in Season 3 Part 2 of Attack on Titan.
What I want to see is a high stakes situation like above, where everyone may despair and there maybe sacrifices involved to try overturn the situation. Like a high stakes battle.

I started reading Attack on Titan but eventually stopped because I found it too similar to the older manga Claymore, so I haven’t read that scene. Hopefully these are similar enough!
* Red Rising by Pierce Brown. Overall this series has a lot of similarities to Attack on Titan. There are indeed battles and sacrifices made, as well as speeches. I have only read the first three books.
* Succession by Scott Westerfeld. Also published as two separate volumes. There’s a battle in each part, but the second part, The Killing of Worlds, has the highest stakes and most sacrifices. No speeches, though.
* [Empire of Silence](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36454667-empire-of-silence) also has some similarities to Attack on Titan, but not as much as the Red Rising series. This series is *really* long, but has a lot of high stakes climactic battles.
* [The Forever War](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21611.The_Forever_War), classic military sci fi.
* [The Last Watch](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53205794-the-last-watch), recently published military sci fi.
