Especially looking in the depth of such topics as where it comes from, why it exists and what fuels it. Ideally looking at different terrorist organizations as examples from different regions and viewpoints.
What I am specifically not looking for is a book looking into depth of one organization but one that gives a broader overview. Best without an American bias (not to say that an American author would be disqualified but from a quick look online it seems that there is quite a few books looking at terrorism from the American point of view which makes sense to some degree as it was the US which started the global war on terror).
