i’ve been looking for a fantasy/dystopian book / series to read but all the ones i see are more romance. i don’t mind a little bit of romance but i prefer a katniss peeta / annabeth percy type thing where it’s not the centre of the story and it feels natural and not in ur face. i like interesting world building and entertaining writing and something u can get sucked into easily.
ive liked: the hunger games, percy jackson, six of crows, i really liked the first caraval but i HATED how the romance kept taking away from the world building and story in the second one, i liked legendborn but im not sure im going to read the next one as i felt it could have been shorter.
i’m also only 16 so nothing too hardcore or sad or just over all extremely difficult.

The Getaway–Lamar Giles more of a science fiction/mystery dystopian than fantasy but it’s really good, easy to read and it’s for the YA audience.
