Looking for a book about a neglected wife or one in an abusive/narcissistic relationship.
I am looking for a book preferably about a woman who is neglected in her relationship and or in an abusive relationship. I want to feel like I am not alone. It can be fiction or non fiction. Thanks.
If you’re into humorous elements (kind of “the sting” for neglected wives) try Young Wives or The First Wive’s Club by Olivia Goldsmith
For a more depressing look at how one gets there and how one gets out, try She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb (Dolores is in middle school when the book starts but she does get married).

Try “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover about an abusive relationship that ruins her life. Then read “It Starts with Us” by Colleen Hoover, the second and final book in the series, that gives you a happy ending of that story in case you don’t want to be left feeling hurt.

Hunter’s Horn by Harriette Simpson. It’s an older book, but as a woman who has been in that situation, more than once ,it really hit home and right to the heart.
