Hi, I’m looking for books that debate the hierarchical structure of society and whether some people are superior to others, and how we can define these criteria.
For a bit of background, I’m interested in this because I was debating with a friend and his opinion was that some people are naturally born with qualities that make them superior to others, leaders and such, and we cannot have a world which self regulates without the need of authority imposed by the powerful upon the weak. I half disagree and believe that the way we define superiority is skewed and driven by some bias of human nature.
I’d like something that touches both angles as i don’t want to be left leaning towards an extreme after i finish the book. I simply want to develop some ideas further, without brainwashing myself.
